vines growing every which way, to the spot that I once left
my towel to bathe
in the cold and salty waters I could float but didn't want to
I would test myself in the waves
made a pact with the blues of the bays

a misty fog a mossy green a wood so thick you barely see the edge
but it's there - the coast, a drop
so we walk a curvy line
to make it feel like it's not
